Basic Fingers is back and welcomes Philou Louzolo to the label, who delivers two blistering edits and one original track for the label’s twenty ninth release.
First up is ‘Lumumba’s Revenge’, an original cut, produced and arranged by Philou Louzolo himself, creating an intoxicating mood to start off the release. Next up is ‘Tartit’s Tribe’, an edit of an original desert song from the Tombouctou region of Mali.
As if that wasn’t enough to set the juices flowing, Philou ends the release on the flip with ‘Fadimata’s Dibabba’, a track built around exotic melodies, chanted vocals and chunky percussion.
