Madam X’s Kaizen imprint welcomes back Walton for the first time since 2017’s Taiko EP. Murdah finds Walton on top form and turning in another set of dark, dub-soaked techno. The influence of early dubstep, UK bass and other soundsystem styles can be felt very keenly on cuts like ‘Squelch’ and ‘Onslaught’. It’s a sound that places Murdah’s beats alongside the likes of Batu and Laksa. With the Murdah EP Walton continues the excellent run he’s been on these past few years.
