Exciting new imprint Humanoid enters the fold with a debut from UK-based label co-owners 4D&Krunky. This impressive first outing from the duo shows off some of their varied influences, from the earliest tech-house sounds to breakbeat, electro and beyond.
The A-side serves up two heavyweight slices, with the dancefloor-ready rolling bass and old-school synths of ‘Opelescot’ followed up by the heavy breakbeats, stabs and atmosphere of ‘Swim with the Tide’. The B-side shows a different side to the boys productions, ‘Stunt Bubble’ rolling along with uplifting arpeggio lines and fun-loving leads supported by a weighty baseline before ‘Seasaw’ finishes out the EP joyfully with it’s sun-washed nostalgia and playful elements.
