Denmark’s Music For Dreams have done exactly the right thing by signing Apiento & LX to their roster. The two produces haven’t put out countless releases, but what they have produced has been much to our liking, and always present on the best independent labels out there.
This new single from the duo, the ambiguously named “Dish”, is the perfect hybrid, a tune that sits somewhere between house and electronica, but the mid-point is beautifully lo-fi in its approach, making this fall under the umbrella terms of ‘balearic’.
The vocals of the A-side are absolutely non-intrusive and, in fact, add to the charm and charisma of the harmonies locked tightly into this majestic tribal groove; you can imagine how perfectly lush the dub version sounds. This is a true tip, if we ever heard one!
