Coco Nae (Jo No Et Menjo Nena) 12″

We can finally share with you all our first release: the reissue of MARC BOLTA’s record, Coco Nae (Jo No Et Menjo Nena).

Josep Pons aka MARC BOLTA (lead singer), next to his producer and keyboard player Franz Beltràn, were the members of this extraordinary and bold project of Italo-disco sung in Catalan.

“Coco Nae (Jo No Et Menjo Nena)” on side A, and “Coco Nae (Jo No Et Menjo Nena). Instrumental Version” on side B, the latter manifestly meant for the dance floor and the relish of DJs’ mixing. High quality 140 g 12’ vinyl.

It has been re-mastered in 2021 by T.P. Heckmann, Trope Mastering, in order to enhance the sound quality and warmth, adding a somewhat more defined punch. Executive Producer: David Hernández Blasco “Kapi” in Ediciones Carpetovetónicas.

So happy to be able to rescue this sassy tune, a vinyl recorded at Vamp Slam Studios in Barcelona (founded by Beltràn) and published in 1986 by the label Picap. Whether being or not a snapshot of the so called Sonido Sabadell or Sabadell Sound in the 80s, it has been vindicated in the “Disco Fetish” sessions at the renowned radio station Intergalactic FM. It was selected for the cult DJ mix “Italo Hula Hoops”, mixed by Flemming Dalum in one of his best compilations: that is some support!
