After the 1st record, Slow Motion’s follow up – Wrong Era EP is set to catapult this small Italian label into the big time. This time around and it’s all about the charms of Italy’s very own Motorcycle Boy who delivers two stunning original tracks backed up with white hot remixes from The Heels of Love and old school disco legend Fabrizio Mammarella.

– Try begins as a sleazy electro disco cut, that’s swaggers along until breaking out with melodic strings that lighten the mood, before things drop back down to a perfect 4am groove that John Carpenter would have been proud to call his own.

– Easy on Yourself uses a very familiar sample to begin what is a playful and deceptively complicated track – equally at home on the stereo as it is on a Funktion One system – clever percussive sections, a melodic refrain that brings to mind The Cure and a whole lot of smiles from the dance-floor. The Heels of Love turn in a tougher remix version that slips in an acidic bass line and works the groove just that bit harder.

– Finally Fabrizio Mammarella encourages us to Don’t Lose The Juice, which only appears here in remix form – and what a remix it is. With a nod to the modulated sonic devilry of the Emperor Machine, but with a style that is all his own, Mammarella turn in a tough and funky ‘Slow Motion’ groove, cut up vocal snippets, squeaks bleeps and cowbells for easily the most ‘out there’ track on this release.
