Tuomo Aslak Puranen aka Potholes is back on Common Labour with another fine collection of minimally-minded deep house joints from the underground. “Recession Legacy” is as intricate and temperamental as the recession itself thanks to complex beat patterns and layered melodic waves, while “Feather Island” on the flip is more of a traditional house chugger that’s bounced forwards by a rolling Chicago bass. “Bolemannen” is the perfect closer, a sci-fi flavoured house cut that is made deeper and moodier by its hazy, dubbed-out approach.
