The first compilation on Chris Video’s (Shredder) label, Tropical Goth, features a wide
array of styles from EBM, to Industrial, to Darkwave, to Synth Pop, & Techno. First song
is by Le Chocolat Noir (Gooiland Elektro, Frigio, Charlois, In The Dark Again, Kraftjerkz,
Mechatronica and Helena Hauff’s Return To Disorder) “Like It Hard” is a dark wave
instant classic, with traces of synth pop & electro. The second is label head Shredder
“Blood Sweat Tears” remix by Curses, turning an industrial techno banger into a
smoothed out wave & post punk slow roast track for any occasion. Last title on Side A.
is from Berlin techno/house icon & “In The Dark Again” record label head, Snuffo.
Bringing a harder & darker feel to his already infamous style of productions.
Side B. offers a diverse comparison to the flip side, starting with a noise laced electro
banger by Hellboii (Panzerkreuz, Bunker Records), followed by a melodic & ambient
chill out track by Deirdre Direktor, & finished off by Swedish synth pop icons, Facket
