In the midst of Bulgaria’s turbulent post-communist era, where the distant echoes of Western dance culture barely registered, KEi unearthed a sense of belonging amid the chaos. His sole companion? A rudimentary tracker software. His multifaceted musical journey spans from dragging a desktop computer to DJ at Sofia’s underground heavy-metal dungeons to the more recent exploits in the world of synthesizer DIY and studio wizardry, often in tandem with his long standing friend and creative partner, KiNK. KEi’s debut solo release, ‘Late on Time’ is a sonic testament to music made spontaneously without an agenda, free from ulterior motives and fear.
