Triple XL 12″

Funk dripping debauchery is Hard Ton’s latest serving. ‘Triple XL’ takes its cue from the annals of italo, disco and electro pop, further fuelled by production from Dutch diamond in the rough Tom Holkenborg (better known as Junkie XL). A track beyond tongue-in-cheek, lyrics dance in a devil-may-care dervish. And it is those lyrics that remixer Domenico Torti holds on to for his jackin’ house interpretation; a Chicago affair of carnal delights. DJ Overdose comes from a totally different angle. The electro fiend pours ice water on to the original for a frosted vocoder wonder. And to keep the roulette wheel spinning, Andreas Gehm closes. Hard as nails, acid drenched, diva voiced pound wraps up an EP an admirable assembly of tracks.
