Deep down in the Sheffield underground lies the lair of DJ Steve, a subterranean studio fizzing with electricity. The ‘Mainline’ EP collects together otherwise forgotten demos from an unknown producer who reveals a deft talent for authentically made rave music. Clattering breakbeats and diva vocals sliced up within an inch of their lives sit next to sophisticated bleep ‘n’ bass and glassy-eyed pads. The inspiration of the Yorkshire dance music legacy and warehouse culture are obvious and leave the listener with only one question….when can I hear more?
